honda hesd always on??

does anyone know if i can do that? i'm so i can't get a new aftermarket damper. the hesd works pretty well but only when your going fast, does nothing at all at slow speeds. so can i make it stay on with full damping all the time? i can probably figure it out myself but wanted to check to see if anyone knew how to do this first.

Re: honda hesd always on??

ok i searched here, cbrforum, 1000rr.net, and google. can't find **** about it. all i can find is people telling you how to make sure its working or to just remove it. as long as the servo thing stays closed the bitch should stay stiff, i think. if anyone has done this or just has a good idea (other than replacing it) post it up please.

Re: honda hesd always on??

its pretty worthless, it runs off rear wheel speed, so if your doing a stoppie... its not going to damp ****. i've heard of people filling it with heavier oil.

Re: honda hesd always on??

no but i thought i did a while back. turns out the battery was just done. i could jump it or push it and it would hold a charge for a little while but only about 4-5 hours. replaced the bat and it fixed it. if its not the bat maybe the rectifier (sp?) i'm probably wrong but i thought when a stator dies it just stops all at once.

Re: honda hesd always on??

figured it out just in case anyone else wants to do it. it was as simple as runnin a constant 12v to the hesd. i just cut the wires and hooked it up to what used to be my low beams. works great too feels about like the aftermarket ones.:YEAH

just not adjustable.
