ok i have a 2001 929 it just wont start anymore. the fuel pump is not kicking on, i checked the pump and the pump is good, i jumped the wires on the tip sensor and still not working, checked the switch on the handlebar and also the kickstand all are ok...where is the fuel pump relay? and what else could it be if its not the relay.
oh by the way i also tried a new ecm out of my buddies running 929 and my ecm worked in his bike so ecm not the problem

Get a manual and start checking things off. Check your connections and fuses. The relay is usually right by the batt. If your fuel pump isnt priming then its probably the tip over sensor (unless you bypassed it correctly), fuses, bad connection. Next time dont start trying other parts and guessing, try reading the manual first and doing some research, if you had a bad short in your wiring harness and it fried your ecu (unlikely but possible) you would have fried your friends too.

 

There are 3 sensors under the tank on is bad!Common problem on the 929!
