dude, you are in for some fun.

that ************ is a bitch to install.

if i remember correctly, you gotta play with the freeplay on the throttle&return cable....u gota either increase or decrease the freeplay so u can put the controls on, and once u get it on, undo it.

Re: Throttle tube install??

I just put a new rearset and front brake lever on this is the only thing holding me up....the bottom of the swith has a metal dowel that goes into the clip-on to line it up but the top of the swith is still so far off

Re: Throttle tube install??

Have you got the throttle cables in the right holes? they fit in both ways but only work 1 way.. I changed mine last week and it was easy to do? Changing it again tomorow as I have new switch gear. If you are still struggling I'll try to take note of exactly how I did it and post up.. but all I did was undo the throttle cables completely at the switchgear end, then I loosed the slack of on the adjuster, took the switches apart (2 screws) took it off the bar and then twisted the tube out and put it back together in the same manner.

Only thing I can think stopping the top of the switches going back on is that the throttle cables are the wrong way round?

Have you checked that the metal plate in the bottom half of the switches is lined up right? theres a small plate in there which is loose and might have come loose...

Re: Throttle tube install??

idk if this wil work but...

1. put the controls/tube together, but leave the bolts snug.....do this OFF the clipon

2. take off clip-on
3. slip the clipon through the controls and through the tube
4. re-install clip-on

Re: Throttle tube install??

I figured it out! the dowel that goes into the clip-on is bent from dropping it so theres a big gap.I screwed it together and just hope it does'nt stick, the throttle works freely I just hope that thing dont stick on me when I'm not expecting it
