Re: Front axle sliders???

Cutting rod and bolting through the spindle with some crash bobbins work fine, almost every supermoto is done this way, I done my 2 supermotos this way and if you use biggest rod you can fit through and do it up tight it should be fine. However you gotta have a hollow spindle, if you got that then no probs its easy and cheap to do, you can even use skateboard wheels if you want really cheap... Just a shame the F4i has a solid spindle cos I want to do the same but don't really fancy drilling the spindle!

I think new frame sliders should retail close to $75. anyways wouldn't they??

I dunno, ben a while since I shopped for those, but the Harris ones I bought for the Aprilia were like $160.oo for the pair. And most parts for the Mille are about 2x the normal in-line four parts cost...like I said though, with e-bay, and salvage yards, I dunno, you prolly could find them cheaper....

I want some too.

Re: Front axle sliders???

I just used threaded rod and frame sliders on mine -- about $50 total for front and rear.

Re: Front axle sliders???

Yea, those do look better than those euro-trash, race rep., bobbin deals.

They are not long enough in my opinion. And with a name like "bobbin", I'd feel like they should be on a sewing machine, or I should be wearing a bonnett instead of a helmet, and racing leathers instead of jeans!!

Re: Front axle sliders???

I was just eyeing that up out in the garage on the ZX-6

All thread through the axel into some spare Vortex Sliders I had sitting around from the F4. Should work fine. Plus the Vortex slider pucks are replacable.
