Steering damper

Hi,

i ride a FZS 600 Fazer (European Model wasn't available in the States),

i want to install a steering damper for the stopies and to stabalize while doing stuff like a christ etc. The standard way of instaling it on my bike would be just behind the forks on the left hand side of the bike. If i would install it like that i'd probably f**k it up with the first crash....and i don't want to pay 100$ everytime it happens, if possible.

So here's my question:

How did you guys install them on yours? I'll have to improvise something and maybe drill some holes, I'm basicaly looking for some pictures or something so i can get a rough idea of how to do it.

Thanks...

Re: Steering damper

Thanks

This is the newest picture of my bike at the moment... looks a bit different now but the basic setup is the same.

I see u run stock dampers are you satisfied with them? Alot of people here in germany said i should get an LSL aftermarket damper, wich are very expensive.

Im not sure if your setups will work with my lower forkbridge <-- is that right?? but i'll chekc it out and maybe i'll have to weld a little thanks

Re: Steering damper

any damper is better than nothing, and you can pickup those stock gsxr dampers all day cheap because guys are pulling them off and replacing them with Scotts, GPR's etc.

The second pic looks like a shindy damper though... pretty sure it mounts with the fairing stay bolts
