i know about the 2 bolts in the front and the 2 under the seat.

after takin those off, what do i do?

do i just yank out all the fuel pipes? is there a way to stop the fuel from pouring out?

Cover the hose with your finger, then drain into a bucket.

...and iight

when i had an ex, there was a switch on the side of the tank that stopped the gas from going through....thought there might be somethin similar on this.

btw, i'm installing a new gas tank. using my current pump/gas cap.

...except for the fuel pump gasket...

any tips?

the switch your talking about is called a petcok (spelling) but newer bikes dont have it. unbolt the bolts and take the lines off and clamp the ends shut. if you rest the tank upside down for a while the gas can leak out and mess your paint up. take the pump/cap assembly off and put it back the same way you took it off just in reverse. good luck

Or is he talking about the fuels management system that allowed you to turn it off and on and to reserve, but thats was on carbed bikes.

i borrowed an empty gas bucket so i'm just gonna pour the gas in there.

but i'm curious

u mean to just reverse the gas cap? that stops the gas from leaking out the top? (when upside down)
