so i think mty stator took a dive, but i want to test it to make sure its not some regulator or something first and i know nothing about bikes charging systems. help?

 

ok im going off a gsxr 750 but myabe it will help u out. i had a bad stator b4...the bike would run with a fully charged batt untill the battery drained (because the stator was not recharging the battery) to check mine i just jumped the bike with another bike. left them both hooked up with the stator unhooked, then with the bike at operating temp and running at 5k teated each wire coming out of the stator to ground... i cant remember what votage was supposed to be coming out, but one point was at zero.

does anyone know the voltage its supposed to be at?

 

so what you're saying is that if my stator is bad, i will still get a volt reading out of the plug?
