Damper for F4i with DB bars?

Hey guys I want to buy a damper. Which one should I get that's easy to mount with DB bars?

I also got a friend who has a 04 R6 and has the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible to get something that hooks up like the stock gixxer ones?

Yeah searching for damper info or DB bars info is easy it's having both in the same post and for your bike.

I'm looking to set something up that doesnt need any change to the tripple tree.

I have something in mind looks like there's a kit to mount a stock gixxer. That's the cheapest way to go I think.

Thanks for those who helped (Mikem)

ohlins damper and flipped vortex clip-ons.......just like DB bars but better.....put wider bars in the clip-ons if you want it wider.

I had DB bars on two bike, now I got flipped clip-ons on two bikes. It truely is better!

I wish I had the option to try before I made a decision but I love my DB Bars and it will do for the summer. Never know maybe someday I can run straight bars. Thanks

I wonder why you went back to clip-ons? Was it the damper or what is better? thanks.

better! i like the width of DB bars, but hated the heigth, even when I got the lowest rise I could find. with vortex clip-ons flipped on top the triple you get the same width, and you get the angled up/more comfy hand position, but it doesn't interfere with your dampers....any of em!

I was a die-hard DB guy, but I won't go back...."flipped clip-ons is like DB bars without the gayness" I think thats how it was explained to me

Re: Damper for F4i with DB bars?

I have DBars on my lot f4i and flipped vortex's on my street f4i. I honestly cant pick a favorite, and I end up bringing them both to the spot and switching back and forth.

Re: Damper for F4i with DB bars?

Anyone seen this for the F4i?

I can't figure out how it's installed. I thought a triple tree would have 3 holes right? This one is in 2 pieces. Can anyone explain this to me?

The part is called a LSL kit from Fullthrottleinc.

I got an answer I guess it's something you mount on top of the stock triple tree.

It's not a f4i pic, but whats wrong with this type of damper?? I can't see how it would interfere with the bars whatosever?? I'm fitting one to my CBR soon, can't see how it'd interfere with the bars.

thats how the hyperpro on my 600rr and the ohlins on my f4i mount. even though it looks like it wouldn't be a problem the free end of the damper and the end of the bracket on the other side often hit the DB bars when at full turn. My hyperpro bracket broke when I flipped an endo from the dirtbars hitting the bracket side. Best thing you could do is build brackets and mount the damper on the front of the forks to the frame. Should be pretty difficult to get it hit there...DB bars or not.

sure it does I've seen loads of that style on an f4i??

And I've seen ones down left side of frame to forks and some in front of forks as well ?? think its just finding the right manufacturer/fitting kit?

So people think best bet is to fit it in front of the forks?
