Re: tank removel help f4i
Take off the air duct covers.
Take out both 8mm bolts at the front of the tank.
Take off the front Seat.
Unbolt the gas tank hinge.
Unplug the Fuel pump - its a black connector.
17mm nut on the fuel pump line. When you take it off some gas will be spilled. DO NOT LOOSE the 2 copper crush washers that go on the fuel line.
Goodluck.

ok everything is done but...
17mm nut on the fuel pump line. When you take it off some gas will be spilled. DO NOT LOOSE the 2 copper crush washers that go on the fuel line
now is that where the line goes into the pump or where it goes to the engine???

Re: tank removel help f4i
Where the rubber line goes into the bottom of the pump. It will look like a banjo fitting for a brake line - just bigger. The 2 copper crush washers work the same way they would on a brake line.
Also, notice the direction that the fitting is facing when mounted on the tank. If you put in on backwards it can pinch the fuel line.
