Alternative to cutting stock exhaust on f4i?

Ok so, every stock exhaust that I've seen cut down for an f4i is too loud. I want to be quiet again. So umm is there a trick to cutting it down so it wont be loud?

OR

I dont know if anyones ever done this before, but why dont we just cut down the little pipe that comes before the exhaust, you know the thing that hooks up the exhaust to the headers. If anyones done this, how does it sound, and do you have any pics?

they must have taken the internals out. i shortened mine just fine and it's quiet as hell. everyone gives me props on how quiet my bike is. just do it right and it'll be fine.

yeah I think they just cut it down from the end, not evenly or something. I think my buddy Jerry is gonna cut mine down, he's got his stock exhaust cut down and it sounds perfect! Hope mine comes out good, being that I just paid $60 for a stock can

There was a whole thread on here once about the proper way to do an F4i stock exhaust and what baffles to cut and not cut... Shouldn't be hard to find

dude, i've never cut one down before and i cut mine nad it's perfect. the way it's designed it looks like you would have to seriously **** something up to make it loud. it's pretty straight forward.
