gpr damper

I had never ridden a bike w/a damper before.. I just threw on a gpr tonight and it doesn't feel right to me. Just a little bit before full lock the tension goes away. And if the stiffness is turned up past 5 it gets kinda hard to turn at low speeds (under 20) at around 10mph I can turn the wheel and it will stay turned.

Just wondering if this is normal?

Re: gpr damper

never had a gpr but most good dampners have an adjustment for the close to lock problem you described

the rest sounds normal

Re: gpr damper

The hyperpro that I had only made it hard to steer when you turned the bars semi-fast......I think thats just hyperpro though. the GPRs may stay hard if you have it turned up high enough. they were made for racing so low speed wern't taken into effect when they were made

Re: gpr damper

Normal Normal Normal!!!! Remember that is for a high speed wobble/tank slapper.....At a 1 it's easier to steer and will not work as well in a tank slapper at 90 and it would at at 5 + - 8 on the setting at 90!
