i need halp with my 2003 r6

does anybody have any tips or know why every time i park my bike on the 12bar it fluds the airbox with oil and wont start unless i crank it back from the side.
how it happens:it won't stall or anything while on the bar but if i turn it off and put it down again it won't start and even if i put it down while running i don't think it should do that so has anybody had this problem before?
thanks guys.:YEAH

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

sounds like you have too much oil in the bike or you need to take the crank case breather tube out of the air box and fab up an overflow bottle

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

you could get all technical and use the pcv port for a return but you can just check the over flow bottle once in a while till you see how often you need to empty it

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

i took the hose that conects to the airbox and disconnected it,than i pluged it with a thick bolt and the original clamp,we took the bike and put it on the 12bar and ran it for about 25 seconds and took it down again. it seems fine now no oil in the air box and it's running fine. any suggestions?.

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

nope you need to let it breath ........................it releases pressure in the motor

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

I took the overflow hose off and replaced it with a longer one just loop the extra leght around itself and lay it under the tank. this method will not screw anything up but when the oil tries to over flow it will have to travel alot further before it hit the airbox. Take my advice DO NOT do 12 burnouts I blew my motor because the oil drains from the pistons when its on the bar for longer than 45 seconds even doing long scrapes or circles for a long time.

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

so even if i fab a gasket for the oil pick up like the ones you can buy it will still **** it up?
and the hose still goes back in the air box but it's a lot longer? how much longer did you go? thnks.

Re: i need halp with my 2003 r6

I have my vent run up by my steering neck and have a little filter on it, when it's on 12 the oil would have to actually go higher than the forks. Works great just don't overfill it or it will foam the oil and push it out at high rpm's, oh and some bikes just aren't made for bar tricks or revlimiter coasters....
