Re: 03 636 motor mount bolt

its just whatever nut fits on a 10mm bolt, its a lock nut.
BUT are you sure its the bolt thats stripped and not a broken motor mount?

The one time I needed one and couldnt find one I found a 10mmx1.25 nut with a 14mm head but it had a flange....So I ground off the flange so it could fit in the slot(14mm) in the head.....You have to grind the flange down on all the sides till its just a 14mm hex head with no flange...

BTW one time I stripped one of those nuts so bad it wouldnt come out so I had to remove everything and push the rad over so I could drill a hole in the side of the nut and crack it open and off....serious pain in the ***!

Re: 03 636 motor mount bolt

That happened to my old motor and to make things easier I made a custom nut that wont spin even though the tab was broken....I tool a piece of 3/8" thick steel and cut it into a 17mmx25 rectangle, then drilled and tapped the 10mmx1.25 thread on one side close to the edge.....Then I could slide it into the slot in the head and it wouldnt spin as I thightened it.....
