brake bleeding dilema

brake bleeding dilema

So i busted the brake fluid resevior on my bike obviously i got a new one and proceeded to bleed my brakes with a vaccum bleeder, then realized i had no pressure on the lever so i bled the **** out of the master cylinder but after doing that about 25 times i still have barely and brake lever pressure, please elighten me to what the deal is

you either broke the master or you have an air bubble behind one of the pistons in the caliper. Those vaccum bleeders are **** BTW, do it the old school way.

fill resi to the top and hold it higher then the master, pump lever 20 times then hold it closed now watch little bubbles come up in the resi, now do that some more and u should build alittle pressure, then pump n pump the lever and hold it closed and open up one side bleeder bolt on caliper for a minoot sec then pump and hold closed and do other caliper and repeat till firm operation.

good to know, i figured the vaccum bleeder i had would be sufficient but ill take it from someone with nice minty brakes that they are ****, ha ha , thanks for the help

bleeding brakes gives me a boner, specialy when i bleed a handbrake in like 5 minutes its a great feeling cause theres like 9 kagillian threads on here how my hand brake is soft blah blah blah so when u get good at brake systems u just glow with ****y mechanic syndrome. well i do tee hee tee hee
