900RR issues
where do I start? my back brakes ****, I heard that the 929/954 rear calipers will work, is this true or is someone talking some trash? I have to mash the pedal to get the wheel to lock up. can I get a dual caliper bracket and link them both up to work togeather using a splitter like used on the front calipers? and also link up a hand brake? how do I get more out of the brakes.....
i think my rear shock is blown, it was stiff last summer now is like a loose puzzy!
and since i have been practicing my slow wheelies, the front of my bike has a weird shimmy, not sure if the head bearings are loose or if the D208 is bad, im going to look into that this week, I do have a new tire in the garage but im curious if anyone has had these issues.
I'd really like to get something with EFI so im thinking about off'n this bike and getting an F4i...... although if it worked like i wanted i wouldnt be *****ing.
anyone have some input?

Re: 900RR issues
Sounds like my bike, On my 900 my back brake sucks also but im used to it, I think I need new neck bearings too and my rear shock is shot. When I get time im gonna try to fix the neck, get some racing brake pads and flush the brake system and figure out what I can do about the rear shock. I'll let you know how that goes.
Re: 900RR issues
wow.........................................
your pads/rotor/fluid might be toasted. Mine locks up with one finger on the HB.
If your even questioning your front tire, get a new one, they make the Metzler M3 for the 9 hun. Pick one of those up. With the shimmying, not sure, the shock can be rebuilt reletively cheap.

Re: 900RR issues
I bled the rear brake with new bel-ray fluid then I put the bike on the stand, left it in 6th gear with the idle up while I risked taking off my fingers with 100grit paper on the rear rotor..... it worked well but didnt help my brake any. the master cylinder seems very tight, i was shopping on ebay for a different one, i think i should brake down and get a NEW one from the dealer.... can you get rebuild kits for calipers? or do they just bend you over for the entire caliper? the caliper still looks NEW, the piston is still GOLD, hardly any dust on it, im sure that doesnt mean anything, i just dont want to believe that there is something wrong with it ha ha ha!
is it common to break any of the internals on the forks? last summer while practicing 12's and some scraping, id get wobbly and bring the bike down on the sidewall of the tire, not sure if I could have bent a fork slightly, could have damaged a cord in the tire?.... i just dont want to take it apart, swap tires....etc and find out it was something simple...... another thing I thought of.... I have the forx barely up through the top clamp, I think they are supposed to be up about 1/2 inch? i need to check my manuel. I loosen'd all the triple bolts hoping that it may let the forks settle and that would cure the problem, the forx slid all the way out and when i set them, i just barely let them come up out the top of the clamp.
is this thing worth fixing or would I be happier with a 600? I like the bike alot, i just think its better as it is for street stunts, I'd like to to some circles!
