Re: 05 Gsxr600 Idle Prodlem

theres a scew to adjust the secondaries, if your going run a high idle you might want to adjust these a bit more open at idle either at the linkage or at the solinoid, find a good middle ground so you can still run 1k without too much hesitation. this is my theory, I have played with this before, not for this exact purpose, but as a tech. I do know exactly what your talking about and how to make it rise, the secondaries are choking airflow, these are controlled by ecm. open the secondaries at idle.

Re: 05 Gsxr600 Idle Prodlem

I would start with idle 1k, I wouldn't ,and I dont think, you can have them open all the way without hurting the solinoid and the adjust screws are only so long.
turn on the key and the upper butterflies should close (right??? bad memory), then use the adjusters to open them about a quarter inch.... I think that should be enough to get you to the 3k mark and stay there but have little affect at 1k. in theory.

Both my gsxrs are not pulling idle right. Funny thing is, they both run fine when idle is at stock (1.3k rpm). Does yours run fine when at stock idle? My back is up against the wall so my choice is the dealership or bust.

Re: 05 Gsxr600 Idle Prodlem

my guess is we did something to make the bike idle down like this. You should list everything that happened and/or anything in the past few months that you changed or messed with. Post it up and i'll see if anything you did matches to what i did. For example, heard if you unplug ecm without batt disconnected it can mess things up. not sure if this is true but its a situation i never thought of.
