is there a product that truly can seal a gas leak?

04 636 here.

gas tank is smashed in like a ****.
got a vortex cap.

It has always leaked a little but I was attempting hc circles yesterday for hours and all of a sudden I could feel my *** burning up. yep gas ***.

So I did a few seat standers while staring at my cap. Gas is pouring out from the outer seal.

been working on it for 4 hours today no luck.
tried to get a toilet bowl plug gasket and cut it to make a thicker gasket.
the rubber got all slimy when the gas hit it. the vortex rubber seal doesn't
Is ther special rubber for gas? I am I nuts?

I had a can of plumbers putty and it says right on the side" seals gas".
ya right I put a huge bead of that around the lip on the tank and the gas just ate right throught it and made a big mess.

I then got some crap from the autoparts store. It said right on the tube "gas and oil sealer" It even had a pic of a dude sealing up a cas can with the stuff.
well I tried that and gas stills pours everywhere.

does a product that can seal gas exist? If not where can I get a perfect peice of flat rubber thats a little thicker than the vortex gasket so I can cut my own gasket?

any info would be sweet thanks

had the same problem with my gsxr.different bikes but mine still leaked,a guy gave me the advice to take some silicone caulk and put it all around the gas cap hole and then take a piece of clear seran wrap and place it over the silicone and close your cap, just make sure that there is enough silicone around the hole, when you close the cap let it sit for like 24hrs and when you open it the silicone should be dry and just peel the seran wrap off, you should have a perfect imprint of the bottom of your gas cap around the gas hole in the silicone,i did it to my tank and she never leaked again, hope this helps bro
