I just bought a 2003 cbr 600rr! The guy who had it before me laid it over in some gravel and he took an autobody class so he decied to fix the plastics himself! Whel why he had the bike took a part he decied to put some new plugs in it! Whel he started on it and never finshed! He had took the tank of the airbox of and everything and didnt cover it good! So now the head has water standind in ports 1 and three! I thik the valves are closed so i hope no water got into the motor! What shud i do? Where can a get a rebuild kit for it? Any help wud be nice......

get the water out and try to start it.. my old cr250 got sunk completely under water a couple times and after getting the water out it would start up..

stick some dry rags in there and soak the water up, make sure your key is in the on position with gasoline in the tank, and hit the little black button on the right clip-on.............VROOM, Honda reliability!

 

Might want to pour a bit of oil into the cylinders also before starting it.

thats not how you do an oil change? I thought you pulled the head and poured all the oil on top of the pistons?

doesn't that add like 50 horsepower? I already have like 5 stickers and I don't want anymore power, I might loop out a power whoolie!

I already make sure I only use 87 octane gas, that 91 octane stuff adds too much power!

 

yeah, i only power 'em up in 6th gear cuz it's too twitchy in the other gears!! btw, never use synthetic oil, it messes up your balance point sensor.

 

I've been runing semi-synthetic, will that mess it up? Already had to replace a brake rectifier and kamakularized sphinometer just this month

oh yeah, I'm geared -8 +30, is that enough to be able to ride slow wheelies, like 30mph or so?
