I have just got a salvage 600RR but it came with no keys and this is a problem over here in Australia as we are still stuck with the retarded (no offence if your a retard) H.I.S.S on our RRs so the ECU is now a paper weight..
Honda know this all very well and charge like a ***** for a new ECM ($1,250 ozzie pasos) then they will supply blank keys at $40 a pop and just in case your not crying enough and still have the smallest amount of selfrespect left they charge you $250 to program your blank keys that still have to be cut to fit your key barrels on the bike....To this all I have to say to Honda Australia is a big go @#$% yourself buddy....
This is where you guys come in.The U.S spec 600RR has got no H.I.S.S on it so I figure if I just get a 2nd hand U.S spec ECM and maybe front wire loom I should be sweet and not have to take Hondas B.S
The Ozzie PGM-FI unit part number is:38770-MEE-652
And and Far as I can see the non H.I.S.S PGM-FI part number is:
38770-MEE-672
Can any of you guys tell me if I am on the right track with this.
