I was out on my RM 250 the other day when it started making wierd noises. When you pull in the clutch lever there is a ticking noise that comes from the clutch area that increases speed with rpms, and as soon as you let the clutch out the noise is gone. The clutch still works but the noise is obnoxous. It figures the day i dont wheelie and actually ride it like a dirt bike it breaks. I have a feeling that it is a cracked disc, any other opionions> thanks

 

either that or the clutch release bearing behind the pressure plate.
don't feel bad the older suzukis are hard on clutches, I have an 83rm500 that needs one pretty soon........

 

is that the bearing that sits right on the plate that is on the outter most part of the clutch assembly? thanks for your help, i havent havd a chance to pull it apart, but i do have a spare motor so it isnt a big deal

thats cool my R6 has a few broken fibers right now and sounds like a god damn rod knock.. last time i changed my clutch i was like whoa ***** quiet.
