Anyone have experience w/ clear coating aluminum? I am sick of buffing and would like to add some protective qualities. I've heard its best to use an epoxy or laqoure(sp?) paint. Anyone have any advice or specific paints?

 

Clear anodizing or powdercoating should works best.

 

this is why i never bothered w/ polishin any alum.

dont know anythin about clear powder but... once the aluminum is polished enough it's tough to get a clear coat to adhere to the smooth surface... you get alot of flaking and peeling.

yeah... powder coat is expensive... and I can't do it myself. I have 2 wheels that I want to do, but more importantly I have a custom intake for an R6 motor... Thanks for the help I was just seeing if anyone had experience.
