Bypassing a f4i ignition?

Anyone know if you can bypass the entire ignition on an f4i and still have the bike run fine? Pretty sure my ignition is busted causing the fuel pump not to prime so I was thinking of installing a switch and totally bypassing the ignition...would this work and if so...how?

We do it to our race bikes. Run a switch for the fuel pump and one for the ignition. So you have to kill switches. One on each side of the clip ons.

^Are your racebikes f4is?

I heard the f4is have something funky on them and why you may not be able to jump the ignition like that.

How should I go about jumping it?

yea its got the diode to not let you hotwire at the switch. The diode lets a lowered voltage signal be sent back to the computer from the switch, letting the computer know its been started with the switch in place
