I needed a second person and it took me a while to bleed mine. Check and see how the line is ran and just keep tryin. F&%kin pain in the ***. Then make sure you try it again in a day or two. I made the mistake once of not checkin the day after did an SS grab the brake and nothing. It hurt.

Re: hand brake bleed problem

first of all, pull the res cap off, fill it full with fluid, tap the lever soft and quick, if theres any air bubbles coming out, hold the lever in for about 30 seconds and let it out again... if air keeps coming out, keep the cap off, and let it sit and gravity bleed for a couple hours.

then hook a clear tube to the bleeder valve, place the tube in a can of brake fluid, make sure every connection is as tight as possible, crack the bleeder and position the tube so that the fluid is flowing down and not back into the bleeder, and pump the brake until all the air bubbles are out.

ok i just used that method to bleed 2 handbrtake setups, one 900rr very similar to 929 and 1 radial so i know it works..

Re: hand brake bleed problem

What exactly is this "gravity bleeding" and the theory behind it?

you leave the system open at both ends, keep the res full, and let gravity pull the fluid down. It works better on front brakes.
