i blew mine today....i think it was half junk before i got the bike....but i was wondering if anybody has stuck a 636 motor(which i have on hand) in the frame of a 6rr...will the 6rr wiring harness work for the 636 motor??? i have the 636 throttle bodies for the motor as well....

it had a heavy knock when i got it, i thought it was the cc tensioner....WRONG, first time i hit the bar the oil light came on and wont come off.....JUNK.

the place i got it from said they are trying to find me a new motor, we'll see what happens....

my teamate's motor has sounded like *** for a year now.....but when the oil light doesn't go off that's a good indication that the rod bearing is blown and loosing oil pressure


the place where i got it from, mad man biker in chicago said that they will give me a motor for 1200 dollars....what a deal!! 500 dollars under what they normally charge LOL

i told him i can find one for 600 bucks.....he didn't believe me, so then i told him i will take this motor out and take it to him, then he can write me out a check for 1700 for my blown motor LOL his response: "what am i going to do with a blown motor?" LOL

and for the record, 636 motors are very durable, compared to a 900rr LOL

im scared right now i hope mine does'nt go--do they make an oil pickup for our 636's? Is it necessary?

i have a 636 motor that is cracked at the top motor mount 200bucks it was a good running motor before the mount cracked

It fits the frame but Im pretty sure you'll need the 636 wiring harness because the FI is completey different on the RR...

My 636 is so loud that when people ride it they ask if its knocking, the FI light comes on after 8000 RPM and stays on untill I turn off the bike...But it still pulls strong

and yes, the brain box/wiring harness from a zx6rr CAN run a 636 motor.....without a problem.

the 636 motor is a lightning bolt compared to that 6rr motor...what a pooch.

 

why dont you take that ^ and use the internals in your engine?
