How Do I Fix This ?

i went out stuntin before and i decided to do a rolling burnout and eversince that my bike has made this stupid clicking nise coming from the motor i asked my friends what the problem could be and they have ya checked ya oil and i said no so i got new oil filled it up and it still does it but then i talked to another friend and he said it could be the tappits or sumthing along the lines of that i was just wondering how you can fix it or if it could be the tappits thanks guys ! rode hard :YEAH

sounds like you might have popped the motor?!?! or maybe its coming from the valvetrain... loose cam chain?!?! find someone that knows what they are talking about to hear it and tell you what is wrong... without hearing it im just guessing here

hey man thanks for the message i hope i havent popped the friggin motor hey that would suck *** cause i just spent 200 buks on it today getting a bigga sprocet and **** on it but yeah its gonna be screwed if the motor is popped well man thanks for ya help hey :D i means a lot ! ride hard

the other thing also is liek after i did the line lock like i didnt hear a pop or ne thing like the motor popping so yeah after a while it started doing it !

btw by popped i meant a thrown main or crank bearing

like i said someone who actually knows what they are talking about will have to take a listen to it

oh true , well tnaks again man i'd take it to a shop tmrw but it is australia day and every thing is shut oh well , sorry for teh misunderstanding take it easy man ride safe but hard !

+1 If it's a honda you most likely need to install a cam chain tensioner. If it isn't that your motor is most likely on it's way out.

Shops are a rip off. I either fix it myself or blow it up and buy a new one. Talk to your local stunt riders one of them knows bikes and being a stunter has seen them all kinds of phucked up.

Old School stuff...

Between the rocker arm and where that makes contact with the valve stem.

Overhead cams don't have this however he may be saying the clearence is loose.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets louder. Almost every engine makes noise. Valve train noise can go on a long time before it's an issue.

hey schwatrz thanks for the message so you think i shoyld keep mono-ing the bike and **** i dont care really i can get my opens in like 2 months so if it last me that long it should be sweet.

hey guys i just went for a ride on my bike and it is so much worse now like if i try to red line it it wont let get past 12 its ****ed now i think.dammit what do you guys think now? The clicking is loud as now i dont know what to do ! any info would be good

What kinda of bike is this that you did this on... I did this same thing on a gsxr 750... and it was not the motor... I ended up having to take the pressure plate of the clutch basket and changing the first clutch fiber that you see... it cracked it...

if you explain more on what bike I might be able to help... its kinda of hard to blow a motor just from a rolling burnout

just put ear plugs in and the noise will be gone......seriously, try it
