Spreader help!!!!!!!!!!

I have been workin on spreaders because I just got my H.B.... Since I have the H.B... I had the confidence to bring them up high, but I can only get one finger on the H.B and I don;t think that one finger will bring me down.. The other day I pulled one up high to the balance point with only one finger on the hand brake... started to slide offf the tank and trying to hold on I was also giving gas and looped it..... Do you guys rock the H.B with one or two fingers... My tank is dented but I don't have any grip tape, could this be my problem. Also I am using a 900rr master if I got a 1000rr master would my one finger be enough.... Thanx

Re: Spreader help!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think people did before HB's? THROTTLE CONTROL. And that is the number 1 reason why people should learn without one first.

But, to answer your question, i use 2 fingers to pull back HC scrapes and such, some people use one. You shouldnt need any just to do a basic trick without scraping.

And yes definatly get some grip tape or, what i use tech spec. www.techspec-usa.com ....get a sheet of the laser etched kind

Re: Spreader help!!!!!!!!!!

i dont use a hb or grip tape i sit on the wall of the dent and that holds me and dont hold on with your throttle hand cause that will make you loop again dont get scared cause if you are going thirty or less it is easy to land on your feet from that position believe me i know

dont go overboard with the grip tape or it becomes hard to jump out of! a little stripe goes a long way.

Re: Spreader help!!!!!!!!!!

um dent the tank and put sum grip tape on it...also lift ur legs and lean back a lil thatll force u into the tank...nad u dont need a hb to balance a spreader...and yes 1 finger is more than enuff...dont use ur pointer finger cus its to short and not strong enuff, cover the hb with just ur middle finger...i do all my scrapes that way...hc spreader w.e

i say this assuming ur idle is down..cus if ur scraping with ur idle up , i think thats retarded but thats just me....so if ur idle is up 2 fingers...also coem in a lil quicker if ur scraping and eb will help bring u off the bar.

as far as just saving urself..1 finger is more than enuff.and if u have any gearing u can go pretty high...like about this high...look at my hand<img src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y293/zackf4i/stunting/highspread12.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
