how far should scrape plate be from seat on f4i

I measured from the end of the rear seat to end of the scrape plate on my bar and it's 5.5 inches. It seems like it's way too long.

Then be smart and shorten it up. All depends on your skillz. If your a noob you can have a 13 inch bar and if your good, well i dont know measurements...never took time to pull out a tape measure and take a measurement. Take 1/2 an inch off if you think its too long. do that till you find the right setting for you

Yea, just have to experiment man...thats the only way to do it. Some people ride wit no bar and are comfortable wit that but its all what you like. Id say take half inch off at a time and get comfortable

stand the bike up, is it 12ed??? if its 11:30ed shorten it up. There is no need to be PAST 12. (yeah, its GANSTA to be 1:00, blah blah blah...) for all practical purposes 12 is best, if you want to be GANGSTA run no bar and scrape subframe.

I dont know about the seat, but around 6" from the end of the subframe is pretty good.

Yeah it's 6 inches from subframe. The reason I can't park the bike is exhaust is too long and hits before the bar.

Re: how far should scrape plate be from seat on f4i

this is where mine's at. Its kinda hard to see, but if you look, there's a decent gap between the bar and the seat. It sits right at 12....any shorter than that, and it got pretty sketchy on the bar.

Well how long you been ridin for. You ride on your bar or just usin it for safety. Any uoi doin any tricks like the ape hanger that NEED to have the bar at 12? Id start at 1130 and then goto 12 later on, i know alot of people that have done that starting out and they said it heled a lil bit. Just my 2 cents

Re: how far should scrape plate be from seat on f4i

^ no way, nothing less than 12, that's when the bike isn't stable and can fvck you up, set her at 12 and u'll be fine, the f4i bars stick up above the seat, which makes it more stable, so you could even get a little behind 12 and still be set.. he's not doin bar tricks, just there to scrape every once in a while, bar tricks are soooo 2004

Re: how far should scrape plate be from seat on f4i

best way to do it , take off your shoe and measure it , if you can take your shoe in and out quickly with out getting your shoe caught then you good. if you make it too long then you coasters for the future will be garbage. my bike is at about 11:00
