I rerouted the throttle cables, they're a little tight but they work. I got stainless lines that were for a bandit, and I bought a generic clutch cable thats 4 inches longer than the stock one was.

Try www.bonacoinc.com for custom length brake lines fast shipping and cheaper than anyone else around. I found it easier to just call them but I can tell you from experience they really do make awesome lines and alot cheaper than most. :YEAH

Re: For everyone rocking DB bars

I just re-routed everything. The throttle and clutch cables stay behind the forks until they reach the bars. Seems to work fine. My brake lines are a little tight, but the calipers move with the bars, so it doesn't affect the performance. Try and re-route everything before you spend any money. I'm sure you could get creative and make it work.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure things out, right now I just got the triple drilled for the risers and ran into a small problem. The nut on the underside will not fit due to the sloped edge of the triple, so I am having to grind it down a bit so that it will work. Becoming a pain in the *** at the moment, but I'm sure it will be worth the hassle. I was also wondering, after drilling these holes, does not not weaken the triple enough to worry whether or not it can take the abuse? I just don't want the thing to snap in middle of a wheelie. Anyone had any problems like this? I will post up some pics as soon as I gett'em mounted. Thanx for the replies guys, helps out alot. :YEAH

Re: For everyone rocking DB bars

One thing to consider if you like your DB set-up later if you should ever crack your factory triple you could go to a Vortex top triple.

Street Triple Clamps

Vortex Racing

Machined of billet 7075 aluminum, zero flex
Made to fit all variety of Suzuki's models (specify your model when ordering)
2-3 times stiffer than stock
Weighs less than OEM part
Pre-drilled for ignition assembly
Racers- this is a must have for your bike. No broken triple clamps! Easy to safetywire!
CNC Machined, precision engineered
Direct bolt on from factory, no modifications required
Give your Bike that FACTORY TRICK look with a VORTEX triple clamp. Machined from solid billet, these triple clamps are the ultimate “bling factor 10” for your bike. Reduce fork flex creating a more stable front end. Much stronger than the stock pieces, and less money, too!

Re: For everyone rocking DB bars

instead of trying to weaken the triple even more, I decided to use the holes that were already there and drilled the risers instead. The clutch is very tight, however I think it may work, however, I believe I am going to have to find different brake lines, these braided don't seem to be long enough. Just kinda worried that the clutch cable isn't going to work that great once I get the tank on.-J

The f4i brake lines must be somewhat longer than the R1, b/c there is no way that these will reach. -J

Found a way to get the lines to work, by running one line to the right and then doubling up and running the left caliber off the right, it works fine. Yeah, of coarse I 'll sacrifice bracking power, but, saves me til I can go get some longer lines. This is also the stock set-up was on my gixxer until I ran 2 independent lines straight from the brake itself and started running DOT 5. One question though, It has been a while for bleeding the brakes, I can't remember if I bleed the right first, then the left, or what. I know when running 2 lines outta the top, but what about when you "piggyback" them like I am doing? Thanx for all the help-J
