Re: clutch wheelie vs burnout
if u would rev up on my bike and dump clutch, bike would land on top of u,and smash u in the ground! Wheelie has nothing to do with burnout. wheelie is all about how to use trottle, burnout is all about knowing how to use front brake.

Hmmm...I didn't think this would ever be a question on here. No, I wasn't born knowing how to do a wheelie, but having and using my eyeballs, I immediatley saw the difference even before I had ever ridden a bike.
And doing a burnout, I don't "dump" the clutch, I'd think that might be bad...make me jerk forewards or some ****, I stay on the gas around 8000 RPM, slowly let clutch out, when the RPM's dip, I roll on the gas and smoothly release the clutch.

i dump the clutch on burnouts.... burning your clutch and makin a gradual release of the clutch plates would cause you to lunge forward.. if you dump it.. the tire violently spins.. therefore not grabbing

Re: clutch wheelie vs burnout
Yes it is pretty much the same. On bikes with a sticky rear tire if I try to hold the front brake and dump the clutch to do a burnout it'll just make the front tire hop off the ground and the bike will lunge forward.
The difference is that when I do a burnout I lift my body physically off the bike to unweight the rear end and push down on the front end to compress the forks.
Then when I dump the clutch the rear tire doesn't have enough weight to gain enough traction to move forward.
The same concept can be used rolling by leaning way over the front end with your legs locked on the tank.

I don't burn it for a long time...I drop it pretty quickly, just never dropped it like when doing a wheelie.

dont you rev it up and drop the clutch for both? i read how to wheelie in the above topic but i dont see the difference in making the bike do both. seems the same. please set me straight on this
thanks
