How to pick first bike
Hi im a newb just getting my licence and need help choosing a bike i need one that whont kill me but will still get me going i also dont have that much dead presidents so help will help

I got a sweet a$$ 96 zx600 for sale here. $2500 and its yours ! Needs no work. Twist and go. I started out on it, and its a great bike. Very forgiving, stong frame, engine wont whip you off, but has NOOOooo problem keeping up with the rest of the pack. 165 is max speed. But Im sure it would take you a while to get that brave. Looks really sharp too, if your interested, PM me, and I'll send you picks. PEACE !

why do ppl say that... i need a bike that wont kill me . its not the bike that kills its the rider who doesnt know any better.

Well if your staring out maybe something like a 1998-2000 ZX6R I say a ZX6R because nobody really stunts them so eBay parts and junkyard parts aren’t to expensive. The ZX6R has an aluminum frame so it’s not too much of a tank and the sub frame isn’t welded to the frame like some of the older bikes example would be the CBR F2 & F3. Don’t get me wrong the F2 & F3 are some awesome bikes look at old boy from team OM he is killing sh@t on that thing but in my opinion having owned a fair amount of bikes including a F3 and 2001 ZX6R I thought learning went easier for me on the 2001 ZX6R. Both bikes are pretty cheap to find on a few web sites like cycledrader.com Oh yeah on stunttrader.com a guy is selling a clean title white F2 or F3 for cheap! That might be a good deal to start out on. Well you asked for people’s opinions and I have given you my opinion good luck. Keep in mind that if your starting out to be careful of bikes that have already had the sh@t stunted out of them because if your low on flow $$$$ that could mean disaster in the long run fork seals. Burnt up clutch basket, dent rims, cracked rear rotor, waved over sprockets, maybe a fan that doesn’t kick on right just like anything you buy just know what you’re buying before you commit. Even non stunted bikes can be just as bad or even worse but a stunted bike tends to suffer more abuse. Good luck! :YEAH
To clarify why I mentioned the whole sub frame thing comparing the two one being welded and the other not that comes in handy to consider when buying because if you f@ck up your sub frame later if its welded its going to take alot more work fixing! Instead of just a simple unbolt and reinstalling another one. I don’t know of too many junk yards that cut CBR F2 & F3 sub frames off just to sell that part to a customer so plan on buying the whole frame.

I only mentioned these bikes the ZX6R and F2 or F3 because people aren’t really racing them too much on sport bike tracks, people aren’t really buying then since everyone wants fuel injected bikes and best of all they will most likely be your best bet for prices. Don’t buy some junk bike just to buy something to ride now if you havent got enough money because you will waist you money and your time then kick yourself in the @ss later. I know if it’s your first bike you most likely want to find a Mercedes for the price of a Pinto well we all look for that deal but we rarely every get that lucky. This is why I mentioned these bikes which you might want to consider for the money. My first bike was a CBR F2 and I loved that bike it never let me down everyone knows Honda's has got the best made engines hands down. The ZX6R I owned never had any problems either plus it looked alot sportier so it’s really how much $$$$ you want to spend that will be the deciding factor and what’s being sold. Remember don’t settle for junk just so that you have something to ride because you might not be riding it for long if it’s a terd that’s going to break down! Just my

One last very important thing make sure you know if you can register whatever bike you decide to buy be 100% sure before you fork over the cash. Now what mean by that is try to only buy a clean titled bike because a Salvage title can mean trouble in some states. Don’t bother with Certificate of Destruction titled bikes way too much BS lets just say you will have to buy another frame to get it legal again. Buy a Clean titled bike! You will see why I mentioned this because alot of people sell these other bikes CHEAP! Just be prepared to get the headaches along with those deals.
