Me and a friend of mine are going to try to build a cable-pull for the rear brake. Fabbing the setup and getting it all right isn't a problem, I'm ordering the parts today for it.

Has anyone tried this before? what were the results? I'm thinking that if the cable's set up right, there should be as much strength as with the hydraulic line.

Yep. Used it in SIU2. He used a nut welded to the FI cage to loop the cable through and pull down the brake pedal. From what I read, it worked like ****. Don't be cheap, buy the right stuff.

 

it's not the money, it's the idea behind it. I thought someone would have tried it by now, that's why I asked.
