Slow Stunts with Stock Gears (954)
Slow Stunts with Stock Gears (954)
I can clutch up my 954 (which has stock gearing right now) from stand still, but am having some trouble with getting the wheelie to stay at a constant slow speed.
I imagine that re-gearing it would help a lot with this, but has anyone rocked slow stuff with stock gearing???? Probably a lot of clutch work with it, huh?

Re: Slow Stunts with Stock Gears (954)
it's all the same except it's a little harder to get up, and you will be going a couple mph faster when doing idle wheelies. Either way there is no need to touch the clutch when it's up unless you slow down too much and stall the motor

i've tried this on my buddies bike. 954 is a super twitchy bike. u gotta throw it back real far, almost to the bar and then it will catch idle. U might have to crank the idle up a bit extra too. Be smoothe on the gas.

Re: Slow Stunts with Stock Gears (954)
you cant get it idle 3000-3500. The exhaust valve **** screws it up. If you adjust it to 3k, it soon jumps to 5k, then it drops and up and down.
I use 2100. -1 front. but can't drive against the idle, I've gotten it rolling down to 3000 or so. Really annoying, because If I could get the idle up to constant 3-3.5k I could learn the idle stuff.
