I smashed the Tail and Seat on my 04 F4I Pretty good last night..
Has anbody ever swaped the 04-05 F4I stuff for the 01-02 tail?

Any info is usefull

pretty sure you just need the seats and plastics ... think the subframes are the same

 

Thats what I was hoping but, On my 04 the seat slides on and clips in the back near the tailight... I think the 01-02s had a "bolt on" seat.. Maybe I'm way off but like I said anything will help.

You will need the subframe, front seat, rear seat, and tail plastics to do the switch. I am not sure if the undertray will fit or not

Good luck. The 01-03 subframes are going for alot. The 04-05 subframe goes for about half the price. I just bent mine so I had to pick up a new one. I guess everyone wants them for the conversion

 

I've noticed that... I'm looking for the subframe, undertray, rear plastic, and both seats right now.. .Anybody else done this swap and know what else I need?...

 

yeah my bad the 01 type does bolt on ... wasnt sure if the 04 bolted or not ....

 

Its a big slide on single seat.... I prefer the look of the 01-02 to my current setup so I'm not that upset about this..

 

when ever you complete this post up some pick i will be doing the same thing this winter

 

pics!?!?! It looks just like an 00-03 or whatever they stopped making real tails...... best bet is to find a moron around town that wants a more comfortable ride and just swap em out.......doodle just did the opposite....two seats to the banana and it went fine
