636 catch can?
636 catch can?
I've had my 636 now for 2 weekends, really just been busting wheelies for this past weekend, I notice a rubber hose from somewhere in the upper part of the motor with a small plastic bottle attached to the end... when I got the bike, the can was empty, now it is nearly full of what appears to be oil. I didn't have time to check it out as I just noticed it today, but I was wondering if you guys had any idea.
Re: 636 catch can?
it means that there's oil in my airbox? i haven't had any probs with the way it's been running, or with smoking. I heard about oil in the airbox, but I thought that was if you scraped 12's or rode the rev-limiter.
Re: 636 catch can?
There are a few ideas about that problem runnin about...
* Replace the hose from ur crankcase to ur air box with a longer hose going up and around ur motor
* I was told puttin a piece of sponge in the hose will help
* A pcv valve will help a lil
* Pinch it off and tap a breather(like on ricer cars) into the valve cover
I still havent tired ither of these so when someone finds out a tru way fill me in......btw if you love tap the bar its fine only does it when runnin on the bar or high rpm wheelies.....
