F4i - 2nd gear wheelies.
Is it possible to do these without clutching. I haven't really tried yet, but I would like to get some opinions and suggestions on it first.
RPM's ?
speed ?

It can be done on stock gears. Hard yes but can be done. It all depends on how far your leaning back how hard your pulling up and a whole bunch of other stuff. If your sitting down than I say no way but if your standing than it can be done.

ok ya know what, i am tired of people saying it can't be done on a 600 with stock gearing.
1) i bounce 2nd with no clutch and i have a 97 600 (standing only)
2) stock 600's can be wheelied in 3rd and 4th with stock gearing standing with the clutch, i know this, because i can
do this in 2nd
stand up, roll on to about 8-9k then off the throttle and begin to bounce with your arms and legs, just as you pull up, whack the throttle. Should come right up.
HOWEVER: LEARN YOUR FIRST GEAR SIT DOWNS FIRST BEFORE YOUR START MOVING TO FASTER STAND UPS.
Heres a pic if you don't believe me, can't tell the speed, but you can assume.

How come it looks like your leaning over a little? Is that on purpose? Regardless, I am jealous. I am not that far into my skills yet. Im almost at the point where I am riding out my 1st gear power sit down wheelie until redline pretty high.
Maybe tomorrow I'll really try and learn how to clutch 2nd gear sitdown.

It can be done. Just this weekend I was out riding with some buddies and was trying it. I am very new to stuntin. (Only the second time out trying 2nd gear standups) My F4i has stock gearing (although that is changing this weekend). I took some advice I got from this site. This is what I did.
At about 55mph role in the throttle a little to about 60-65mph, chop it, give it one hell of a bouce, grab a hand full of throttle and open it up. They were only coming up about 3 feet (Still got work to do) but I know it is there. No need to lean back or pull on the bars, the bike will come up on its own. (At least it did when I was trying)
Hope it helps a little. If I can do it being as new as I am, anyone can.

Why no clutch??
I clutch all my wheelies. This allows you to start at a lower rpm giving you more time to find balance. If you cant find balance point it gives you more time to ride it out. It will wheelie in 3rd if you clutch it sith stock gears too. Good luck!

i have only been doing stand ups for about 2-3 weeks, too cold to go out and practice, but my buddy let me ride his 99 f4i (traded bikes for a day) and it seamed as easy to do it on his as it did mine, he is only 15 in front stock rear, but any how, all i needed to do was in second roll the throttle to around 9, slack, bounce and tweak the throttle each time, this will alow you to find your own "sweet spot" for balance, when i started out, i would only ride them 25-30 yards, now it easy to get it as long as the road is straight!!

Use your clutch you will be able to ride that gear for longer.I was bustin 1st gear stand ups all day until I tried second, first one I tried I ran out of road second one was about the length of a football field.Moral of the story use just a dab of clutch on ur stand ups and you to will be bringing home all the bitches.

i have an 02 f4i and still pretty new but really tring im doing 2nd gear standups with 1down and 3 up at about 35 mph at about 4-5 grand and 3rd at like 65 at 8 grand third you still gotta yank up a lil or maybe thats just me i always use the clucth i guess just because im used it from dirtbikes or maybe just because im lazy lol but i rode my cousins bike sam ebike stock gearing at everything is a lil more harder to get up and also at alot faster speed stock gearing third will come up with no clutch at like 80 85 mph but you gotta pull up like a son of a bitch
