snapped chain= cracked case

well not the case....but that little pin that pushes the clutch snapped and its leaking oil....i can replace that.....my question is do any of you have any ideas on if when the chain came forward and hit the pin do you think that could have fuked up the transmission intrenally....thanks guys

I highly doubt it messed up the internals of the tranny but if your really worried bout it I would have a trained person look over it if you dont feel comfortable bout doing it yourself..

aight6 thanks guys .....ill have my buddy look at it...he is a mech.....i doubt it too.....should be fine just replacing the pin and seal.

The same thing happened to my girl's 03 Gsxr600 and unfortunately just changing the pin did not fix the leak and the seal has to be put on from the inside, which means pulling the motor and opeining the cases...sorry bro. She is gonna have Lee's Cycle do it. I can let you know how much they charge if you want.

yeah i found that out the hard way....so i just did it my self......fbc wanted to charge me like 10 hours @75 an hour...pffft.....wasnt all that difficult....just time consuming.
