How do you polish the frame/ are there special chemicals or do you just buff it and if so with what?

First you must remove the anodize/clear coat off the frame, Oven cleaner works great for that.

Then theres 2 ways to polish

#1 sanding and polishing paste this is a long and labour intensive process but if done right looks great.

#2 Buffing with buffs and compound this is much easier, faster, and more professinal finish. Its more expensive though as you need a Buffer, buffs, and compound.

Re: poloshing

Yea, the oven cleaner works great, but I found it had to be "Easy off" in the YELLOW can. I had to let mine sit for about 1-2 hrs on the frame, made it look black and like ****, then I sanded it. Used Mothers Billet polish and it came out sweet. Used it on frame, subframe, & swingarm. Only hard part I had was sanding the rough cast area's on the gixxer. This will work for you. Good luck!

Re: poloshing

What did he says was going to happen if it got wet? fall apart!

If you let water sit on it and dry you'll get water spots thats about it. You'll just have to use some polish to to remove them and make it shine again.
