2k zx6r

well i hvae 600 ninja and it has a problem starting. when i try to use full choke its as if its to much choke.. like i put the choke on and start it but the starter just kicks over and over.. if i give it a little gas it will turn over and start but run like **** under 1k, if i back the choke off a little it goes up to about 1200 max after a minute,.... or so.. but after abotu 115 degrees it starts running like **** unless you unchoke it completely and rev it a little..

now when i got the bike and test drove it and the first week or so before i put it in the shop for a full tuneup which obviously didnt get done, because all my levers are still ****ing loose, and this choke still aint fixed, and my clutch is whacked all out, but besides being took on that.. When i first got it if I choked it all the way and started it it kicked over fine to like 1500 idle... then it whould gradually warm up to 4-4500rpms... now it does the **** up above.. what the **** should i do. i lost a month and a half of this summer because dude had it for that long in the shop sittin there waiting on sprockets he said. and id like to ride the rest of the summer without having to worry about my bike..

btw it has 24k on it.. is there anything i should be considering having done to it. like getting valves checked or something.?

Re: 2k zx6r

6rs don't like to be fully choked. 2/3 choke and once it gets warm just adjust the idle until it sounds right.1

Re: 2k zx6r

Try the tuneup yourself. it isnt that hard. maybe that will help and run a quarter cap of carb cleaner in it it may be getting all gummed up.
