I have a problem when shifting from first to second and from second to first. It wants to grind. And have to click it into gear fast and harder than the other gears. Does anybody know whats going on. And is one of the gears eventualy go out. And one more frequently asked question but i forgot, what tire pressure to run to stop the whobbles. this is on a 01 gsxr 600

Re: Problems

Well, it depends. Could be a couple things. I have the same bike, and I know that after a wheelie (1st gear), if I get going around 70 mph, put it down, and then try to switch gears, it likes to grind. Mine only does it then though, like if I try to switch gears at too high an RPM for that gear. I solve this by either slowing down a little then switching, or revving it and switching before the rpms drop.

Outside of that, it could be your gears going out, could be the clutch. I'm not super-knowledgeable about that stuff, so I can't say.

Re: Problems

Sounds like a bad shift drum.
