Theres a black box on the subframe with a check ball in it. (supposed to be a safety feature in case of a rollover) It cuts the fuel. Take the ball out. Mine was stalling during endos, took out the ball and it never happened again. That may be your problem.

NO NO NO. Listen very carefully. The primary cause of this problem is carbuerator float adjustment.

Heres how the problem comes about.

The SRAD (97-00) 600's were known for a bad fuel petcock. Theres a vacuum actuator that operates off engine vacuum, when the engine is running, the fuel pet **** opens off the vacuum, its then supposed to close when the engine is shut down. However, as the fuel petcocks get older, the system wears and begins to fail. This allows fuel to drain into the bowls while the motor is not running....THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGINS. The fuel keeps draining into the bowls and pushes the floats UP and puts them out of adjustment.

My bike did the same thing and it got bad. first it started with endos. Then it would do it if you jolted the bike at idle standing still. What happens is the floats are so high, that any small jolt (or endo) will bump the floats even higher and flood the motor. IT got so bad that the bike could not be started with the choke (cause it would stall) and i had to start without it. Trust me on this one, get your floats adjusted if you haven't had your carbs looked at in a while.

DAMN SUZUKI!!!!! But gotta love um. I just had my carbs adjusted, and the only thing that fixes it is if i let it sit for a half hour or so then its fine!! So i think its deffinatly a carb problem or oil is goin somewhere it shouldnt and causin a vapor lock somewhere.. But ill look at the floot level again...thanks..

yeah thats def the floats. It was the same thing with mine. EXACTLY the same. Did they synch your carbs or did they actually pull the bowls and check the floats? Cause sometimes carb adjustment is nothign other than synchronizing them with the mercury carb meter. Which honestly is pointless, since they go out of synch MAD QUICK.

Heres some of the weird *** things my bike did.

1) choke would kill the bike, had to start without it, although it started VERY easily

2) would stall mid way through endo and when i put them down

3) got so bad you could shake the bike at idle not moving and it would stall

4) if i let it sit for a long while it would go away

5) if it stalled however and i shut it off, the bike would be hard as hell to start

6) bogged like a **** coming off the line

let me know how it goes with the floats, cause everyone seems to have this problem with that gen carbed gixxers. I had my floats adjusted and i am fine now.

heres my 2c on this one
i have a 02' 750
i did a PAIR valve mod so it makes vacume in the motor and dosnt let nay hot gases back into the airbox.
you might wanna give that a try? dont know if you can do it on the non fule injected bikes but its worth looking into.
goto gixxer.com and look at the posts there about the PAIR
