Any ideas on how to Repo a bike?

Sorry if this is off topic, but I wasn't sure where to post it.

Sold a bike to a guy in San francisco (I'm in Tx) & the b_itch never paid me the second half after he got the bike. I still have the title & everything.

Re: Any ideas on how to Repo a bike?

my former teammate went through this a couple of months ago. It's definately a long, drawnout procedure when it's done legetimately. We're from Texas as well. Since he's in another state, it'll probably be even more difficult. If it's not more then $1,000.00, your probably better off chalking it up as a lesson learned.

good luck......Paw Paw

I think there is people you can hire to do it for you. proof of ownership and all that crap and a fee. check to see if it's worth it to you though

Re: Any ideas on how to Repo a bike?

I would just report it stolen just so you have a record of it... I dont think getting a repo guy to go out there is worthit, just because of the fact that you have to pay them a fee and you dont know what condition the bike is in... Contact the local police dept. where the bike is at and give them the address... They will be able to tell you what you can and cant do.. If you go over there and cause some shitt on his property, he can charge you with tresspassing. Would it be tossed out of court, probably but who the hell wants to drive out of State for each court date...

Re: Any ideas on how to Repo a bike?

shouldn't have let the dude take it without payment up front. you're fukked either way. gotta pay a repo man, costs money. gotta travel to steal it back, costs money. gotta sue, costs money. tell him you're reporting the **** stolen, maybe he'll spook easy and return it.
