I just put one on my f4i. I'm almost done but I have one question. Is it alrite to use the stock f4i upper triple bearing assembly with the 954 front? I figured the stem size was the same and it fit good it should be ok. but need a pros opinion. here are some pics...

As long as they are the same bearing type it should be fine. As in, both ball type or roller type and not one of each.

 

u cant use a f4i triple clamp because the 954 forks are wider at the top

 

I'm talking about the center stem. here's a pic. circle 'A' is the part I'm talking about. I left that as is. Meaning, I'm using the f4i parts(#6, 7, 5, 2, 8). I just want to know if leaving the f4i parts in will work with the 954 center stem or will there be any play/damage. It seems to fit ok for now. Circle 'B' I'm using the 954 bearing that came with the forks.
