929 idle problem...

I bought an 929 from a buddy of mine, it's gonna be a straight up stunt piece. It didn't run when I got it, but I've gotten it to fire up since then. The only problem now is it idles like crap, it bounces between 1k - 0 and sometimes just dies idling. Took the flapper out of the air box, and the exhaust valve out because the servo motor was toast. The other weird thing is that the idle adjuster cable could be turned anyway all day long and the idle doesn't change at all, but it's connected correctly. Bike revs and sounds fine once you get the RPMs past 3k, but it wants to dies if I give it a decent amount of throttle off idle. I gotta be slow with the throttle to get it above 3k or it dies. The only code I'm getting is the one for the servo, but it should still run. Any ideas or things I should check out?

Re: 929 idle problem...

Reconnect your servo motor--even when you pull the valve out you must keep the servo motor connected. Also check your electrical connector/s going into your fuel injectors sometimes they get loose and will make the 929 run like crap--Make sure your fuel supply line is'nt kinked--Also look closer at your idle adjust cable--it should not keep spinning--you might have some stripped threads in there.....trial and error--if its got a power commander take that out and give it a shot too....good luck!

ok, I'll reconnect the servo, I'm thinking I'll have to pick up a new/used one from a salvage yard as the one i have the wires are a little crispy... The idle adjust cable actually stops like it should but it has no effect on the idle anyway you turn it. So I'm thinking it has something to do with the starter valves but I don't know that much about them...
I just replaced the main hose from the pump to the rail, but I'll check it out to make sure it's not getting kinked... I'll check the injector electrical as well. Any idea if the injectors are plugged, how to clean them out? Thanks for the help man.
