Bent Subframe - CBR 600 F2

I bent the subframe of my F2 parking it on the 12 bar yesterday. The subframe is not detachable so I can’t just get a new one. The bike still rides straight, it is just jacked up in the back like a CR 125 and the plastics don’t fit anymore. How can I fix it? If fixed, should I quit parking the damn thing? How can I reinforce it so it stops bending?

Securely strap your bike into a trailer or pick up, then bend it back with a 10 foot pole. (steal a stop sign to get one)

yeah..i had this problem....but mine broke also.....so i had it TIG welded, and reinforced w/ thick sheet metal on the sides to make the subframe look like one big piece...won't break/bend now

strap that thing down (otherwise the rear shock will just absorb anything you throw at it). If its twisted, i've hooked a chain from the front of the frame to the subframe, and used a bottle jack and jacked it strait (hillbillie **** there) Get a friend to weld some steel stock along side the tubes and put a few cross braces in it AFTER you straighten it.

sledgehammers help too
:YEAH

Those methods sound wild, ha ha. I am going to give it a shot. I let you guys know how it goes. Yea, it's not twisted, so I dont think I'll need the jack and chain method, but ill keep that in mind for the future. Peace.

Bent that bad boy back yesterday. Used a 2x4 and a heavy-set friend to sit on it. After a few suggestions, and looking over the bike I think I am going to weld sheet metal onto both sides of the subframe, then pull the all the plastics off and turn this thing into a straight up street brawler. Thanks for the help.

ya know how at there front of the subframe, there are kinks in it, weld some 3/4 inch angle iron over those for bracing too.

Once You Bend It Back The Metal Will Be Weeker So You Might Need To Put The Bracing On It.
