Re: help turn on back wheel

First off, to turn smoothly you should be standing (at least until you get it down packed). Second, just put a little more pressure on the peg that you want to turn to. Sometimes it takes a while though. I was on the highway the other day and I had to almost hang off of the bike to get it to go. I also think it turns better with more pressure in the tires. I hope this was some help.

Re: help turn on back wheel

im give it a try an see. i just dont want to be like a big flag over the side of the bike in the direction that i want to go... i was reading else wear that if you need a little help to turn the bars... in the direction that you want to go... but it feels weird when i have to move the top of the bike like that... i guess im have to put a lil time in tryin it both ways and see what works best.... hell if i put both together i bet it will work real well

Re: help turn on back wheel

turning the bars doesnt do ****. That sounds like some gixxer.com or cbrworld advice. That only works for people that are doing 1/4 mile power wheelies. Once the front wheel stops spinning it doesnt do jack. Just weight a peg for whichever way you wanna go. The higher you are the easier it turns. Go back high when you shift your weight and it'll cut.

if you're up at bp on a standup you can hang way off the bike and pull it to turn.

Re: help turn on back wheel

thanx for the advice.. it helped but... im still having issues turning.. like when it starts to walk to the right i bend my left knee to put more weight to the left side of the bike but it still hard to move the bike... i think part is that im still puttin to much pressure on the right foot peg that it makes it so i have to fight the bike when i try an turn... but thanx for the pointers.

Re: help turn on back wheel

If your not standing, stand up. then whan you want to turn, try sticking your butt in the direction you want to go. by pointing your butt, your weight will tend to follow. at least it works for me. good luck

Re: help turn on back wheel

like lb3 said the higher the wheelie the easier it is to steer them. then just pressure on the peg in the direction you want to go

Think about pressure not weight for a second.....

Your weight should be to the right of the bike and you should almost be "forcing" your left peg while holding on to the bars. This will twist the bike under you.

Try getting the bike a bit higher (higher is easier to turn) locking out your left leg and pushing out on the left bars/pulling the right side to you.

Keep trying to imagine the bike on one wheel and not "leaning" to turn but "twisting" the bike on its axis so that the rear wheel actually goes in the path you are making it. Staying square to your bike helps also, don't fight it.

Hope I didn't confuse you any more. If you want good advise, get Vol I and II of Kyle Woods and Gorka's vids. The first was good, the second was very informative.

Re: help turn on back wheel

How is your peg trying to fold with your foot on it?
