Ive been twelving for a long time, and yes I know i'm a little late in the game i'm trying to figure out how to ride a slow wheelie with just the idle. the way Iv'e been doing it is by applying the brake and adjusting heighth and speed by throttle alone.I can get them slow enough to walk next to them. when I use my idle, i still use my throttle but its not as twitchy.
ihow do I wing myself of the throttle?

 

BRAKE control and a lot of practice

 

It really depends on how high you set your idle. But the thing is to get it up as fast and high as you can,with out starting too fast for your idle to be able to take over. Some guys just started riding with me and I told them to bring it up,get off the throttle and see what happens. If you get off the gas and it falls kinda fast,let it fall and try again. If you get off the gas and it hangs out, use the brake. It seems to be working pretty good for them.
