V-twin Oil starvation

I have heard that the V-Twins (I ride an SVS) have oil stravation problems when in prolonged wheelies.
Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone put on an reserve oil bottle?

I was advised the same thing at my locale Suzuki shop. They said the oil pick up tube is in the front of the engine instead of the back like it should have been.

Lot of guys blowing'em up. It is ashamed too, that bike is too good for wheelies to not have it on the back wheel.

It would seem you could relocate the pickup in the pan. They make "scavenger" pick ups on stainless steel braided lines for cars, surely they make them for bikes.

Honda!?!? you must be joking.

I guess they're okay. I just prefer Suzuki and Kawasaki.

Anyway, I would love to see someone do a modification like that to the engine. That is the only real bad point on the SV. It would be the ideal stunt bike.

Too bad I totalled mine.............then wrecked it again. That was a bad three weeks.
