gas tank removal

could someone please tell me what is the easiest way to take of a gas tank.. i need to replace the air filter... haven't ever taken off the tank.... any special tricks or tips would be much appreciated. thanks

Remove bolts, prop tank up a few inches, reach underneath and remove all hoses and wires (be ready to plug gas lines) and presto, the tank is off.

I haven't done it on a 900 but this is how I have done it on an F3 and F4.
My Suzuki tank actually pivots up and then stays up with a rod like a car hood so check to see if yours does this before unbolting everything.

2 front bolts near your steering column and then its under your gas tank .............. if its anything like my bike

turn the fuel pet**** to the middle position if your bike has one, that way the fuel won't go everywhere

900's are cake... 4 bolts, a few hoses and make sure to turn off the petco(k....
