Iam going to start to learn (try to) learn some slow wheelies.....under 20mph I hope. Anyway, you guys who have big sprockets or even closer to stock, you have to clutch first gear right? or are you powering it up with those huge sprockets?

 

i dont have a bke....but im pretty sure they still clutch it they just dont rev it as high.....if im wrong some pro on here will correct me fast

I clutch mine up. I feel it's more predictable. You can power it up but when you do that you waste a lot of gear getting the tire up. When you clutch it's gets up to the right height a little quicker.

Not sure if you have played with tire presure yet just keep in mind that when your Sub 20 or so the bike likes to wobble side to side much more then the faster Wheelies. You'll need more then a Bar End/Clip On, if you wreck learning the slow stuff.

Clutch and take it slow. You need a cage. Learn the rear brake. Thats the hardest part.

 

Yes...clutch it. Power wheelies are NOT going to help you learn slow stuff, since even in first gear you'll be going roughly 40 when your tire gets up.

Also...if you're a total beginner, learn normal wheelies before you try slow wheelies. You'd think "slower is easier", but the exact opposite is true. I can do some nice fast stuff...but I can't even think about slowing them down yet. I just don't have the experience.

 

cover the rear brake and kinda be on it as u clutchit up so u dont have to slam ur foot ont he rear casue then ull go flying forwards

I pretty much have 2ng gear wheelie down on my 954, usaully can ride for about a 1/4 mile...but I never clutch it before, I just give it a little bounce and straight up she goes......

The whole brake thing might be tuff to learn....I think I am going to get a diffrent bike for learning and sell the 954...

 

You'll have a lot less room for error on the 954 for sure, an f4i would be a better bike.

i work on slow **** every once in a while with my bike (00 f4), and i have stock gearing... you CAN power up 1st but you have lean back past BP and use the back brake to slow it down again.. clutchin is the best way to do it slow.

and make sure you have room to play because i wobble a lot learnin slow stuff... not sure if you will too but its hard on streets sometimes

 

For slow wheelies, clutching is the easiest way guaranteed.

the slow wheelie q was pretty easy to answer...cuz ive red other posts for it...and i learn more watchn than reading....and i watch alot of movies....but u dont havto put me down rite away man....that was kinda messed up
