While you've got some slack time, work more, save more money, buy top shelf gear, take and MSF course. You don't have long to wait, why not use it productively.

take the "motorcycle saftey course", but good gear and tell him you'll pay for it all yourself, tell him when u have ur permit that ull hafta be in before dark and cant carry passengers until ur expieranced enuff. ask him to ttalk to his friends if any of them ride. chances are he had a bad exp with a bike ie having a friend die, seeing an accident, etc tell him that jsut because it happened to him doesnt mean itll happen to you, bla bla bla, and that youll wear ur gear and be safe. tell him you really love t and wanna do it.
you can shoot facts at him like bike stop in the 1/4 time of a car, they handle about 50x better, and the new bikes have sum really sophisticated technology, ie electronic steering damper, govenor on bikes top speed.
sum of this stuff is just bs to amke him happy but alot is tru, if i think of anything else ill let u kno. make deal with him tell hiam that if he lets u get a bike ull stay on the honor roll at skool, thats wat i had to do

You have a year till you're 16, then you have to wait 6 months before you can get your license. In this time, you have to SHOW him you're responsible enough to handle a motorcycle. Don't talk about wheelies, don't throw specs at him. And don't hound him relelntlessly about it. Be a mature individual, and show maturity. If he see's you putting forth the effort, he'll be more inclined to help you out. If you get pissy and tell him to **** off and that you're doin whatever you want, your chances won't be as great. Take the safety courses, put the time in, get the gear, and then if he's still bein a **** you can tell him to **** off haha.

step one: take the MSF safety course...make sure to let him know that it'll reduce your insurance payments, and you'll have a good knowledge of the operation of your motorcycle.
step two: say f*ck you, i'm 18 and there's nothin' you can do about it. you might not have a place to live if you're livin' w/ your crib, but havin' a bike makes up for it, right???? riiiiight.

If you do end up getting a bike have him buy it and sign the title so you can get full insurance on it dirt cheap. I'll probaably end up having my dad buy all my bikes for my til I'm old enough to not pay outrageous insurance rates.
As it is my 636 is 1000 a year with him being 55 and having no tickets or accidents the only driver on the policy.
Also I used bike-line.com and their pamphlet states that it covers anyone in your household, anyone with permission to use, and anyone riding as a passenger so it's definitely legal and they will have to pay for your bike even if he never rides it.
